Anglers opposite Hugh Lloyd's Pulpit, near Ffestiniog. The column of rock forms part of the lower of two waterfalls on the River Cynfal. This beautiful site is known as Cymorthyn, and legend suggests that Hugh Lloyd of Cynfal Fawr, a 17th century poet, astrologer and magician, used to visit this spot to deliver incantations, lead prayers for local villagers and to expel devils and evil spirits.
