The windows of all the florists in the city are radiant with the red and green of the season. Many have used the red immortelle wreaths with the southern smilax and ferns as a back- ground, but they say that the sale of immortelle wreaths Is rather slow this season. The holly from our own native woods is a little scarce. In former seasons the holly was cut so severely that but little is left and that must come from Ic^er distances. The cedar tree, however seems to be inexhaustible. It grows plentifully right at the doors of our city and all one has to do, if economically inclined, is to drive a few miles out and cut one to suit. There is more general decorations than us- ual in this city and a more general use of potted plants for interior decora- tions.
