A Disappearing World. Worli fishing village symbol of Mumbai's past against the skyscrapers of India's financial capital.

Mumbai, one of the World’s Mega cities with a population to 16 million was originally a cluster of seven islands inhabited by the fishing community called the Kolis before the British took her over till independence. Kolliwadas were originally fishing villages [hence the name]. Marginalised by the increasing development of industry in Mumbai, these fisherfolk still live in tiny pockets by the coast but fishing is no longer a viable way of earning a living.
