Cameron lesion. Endoscopic view of a Cameron lesion (upper left) in the lining of the stomach. This type of lesion is a linear ulceration of the mucosal folds lining the stomach, and occurs in people with large hiatus hernias. In a hiatus hernia the upper part of the stomach is constricted by the diaphragm, creating trauma to the stomach lining and lesions which may bleed, resulting in iron deficiency anaemia.
