Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall observes the proposed location of a new Singapore Air Force permanent fighter training detachment during a flight on a Navy MH-60S Seahawk at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Aug. 19, 2022. The Singapore fighter presence on Guam will provide training and cooperation opportunities that will improve interoperability and strengthen defense ties. The training presence, which will begin around 2029, will consist of a squadron of aircraft and associated personnel, and include the construction of hangars, aprons and support facilities.
