City Hall area, Bristol England police steel fence to keep potential protest and anti-protesters separated, 4 June 2016. This Saturday Bristol had a variety of protests all scheduled for near the same locations near the city centre. Some of these might have been inflammatory to other protesters, this area of college green was to hold a protest rally by the English Defence League and and the 'South West Infidels' protesting about immigration. A counter protest was expected so police set up a steel fence to keep the opposing sides separate. Besides the English Defence League protesting about immigration a counter protest was expected. UKIP leader Nigel Farage was also expected to be speaking at a political rally nearby while the Bristol World Naked Bike Ride was cycling through the centre. The rally attracted few people and rather fizzled out leaving large numbers of police, police vehicles and the wall with little to do. The one rally which did attract a lot of participants and even more spectators was the Bristol World Naked Bike Ride 2016
