The umbrella stalls of three street photographers offering their services to local people, Golden Bauhinia Square, Hong Kong

Britain returned Hong Kong to China on July 1st 1997. In celebration, the Chinese Central Government presented Hong Kong with a gilded bauhinia statue, which was placed in the square next to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on the Wan Chai Waterfront and now called 'Golden Bauhinia square'. The bauhinia is Hong Kong's national flower. Here, on a Sunday afternoon, we see photographers offering their services to both tourists and local people: a photograph against the backdrop of Victoria Harbour or the Golden Bauhinia.
