His wife, whosemaiden name was Catherine Schiefer, wasborn in Germany, and resided in Oceansideuntil her death in December, 1905. Theirfamily, consisting of two daughters and threesons. are residents of Oceanside. Mrs. Mc-Kay was brought up and educated in SanFrancisco, and prior to her marriage residedin Los Angeles, being the first lady employedas a clerk in the Boston Drygoods Store. Sheis a typical business woman, devoting her life.
