Thorns numerous, lY-2\' long; leaves oblong-obovate to oval, ii'-3i' long, }'-2}' broad, doubly serrate, acute at the apex, cuneate at the base, dark green and shining with veins strongly marked above, paler and glabrous beneath; corymbs slightly villous; flowers about 10' wide; calyx-lobes coarsely glandular-serrate ; stamens about 10; anthers purple; styles and nutlets 2-4; fruit short-ellipsiod to subglobose, io'-i2' long, orange-red, slightly pubescent; calyx-lobes erect, flesh thick.
