He enlisted Nov. 27, 1917, and went to the Ground School,, for training; was transferred to Princeton, , in Dec,and from there was sent to Camp Dick, Dallas, Tex. He was againtransferred to Wilbur Wright Field, Dayton, O., and was therecommissioned 2d Lieut, on June 17, 1918.
