You will notice a cross bar attached to upperplunger through which two side rods pass. Theserods are connected to knuckles, which are placedunder the bed of press, and when the upperplunger comes in contact with the adjustingnuts on side rods the knuckles press the lowerplunger up, thus giving you the double com-pression. By moving the nuts on side rods youare enabled to exert the pressure on bottomplunger at any given point. This press can be used either as a doublecompression or single compression press.
