One of the most promising British country acts to emerge in recent times, Jeannine Barry will bring her beautiful but powerful vocals to OnBlackheath. After six years of writing and releasing some truly stunning music, during which time she has built up a loyal fanbase – Jeannine set out on her first UK tour in the spring of this year and then played five nights in Nashville in June. Excitement is building around this hugely talented singer/songwriter, whose latest release Bittersweet hit No 3 in the Country iTunes Chart. She was also invited to headline the C2C (Country 2 Country) launch party. Sometimes at festivals there are times to stomp your feet and go wild, but there are also times to let beautiful, mellow music sweep you away. When Jeannine Barry takes to the stage will be just one of those times. Jeannine Barry has a unique sound with honest lyrics that mix country and pop which appeals to a wide variety of music lovers. Despite having her own sound she has been flattered to have been compared to greats such as: Carrie Underwood, Martina Mcbride, Leanne Rimes and Emmylou Harris. It feels like I am doing what I was meant to be doing and I am willing to put my all into it.” Jeannine’s growing reputation and fan base led to a number of prestigious support slots incl. for Katie Armiger at the Islington Assembly Hall, O2 pop up stages (Robbie Williams & Monty Python), Jill & Kate at the Borderline, festival appearances including the very popular C2C festival at the O2 Arena as well as impressive headline shows of her own. at venues such as The Garage & The Barfly & most recently the C2C launch party but to name a few. Jeannine recorded her second EP 'Off The Hook' in Nashville.
