THE POLISH AIR FORCE IN BRITAIN, 1940-1947 - Flying Officer Stanisław Blok of No. 315 Polish Fighter Squadron by his Spitfire IX (BS 409, PK-B) damaged during the victorious combat with a Focke-Wulf Fw 190 while taking part in the "Circus 258" operation. Photograph taken at RAF Northolt, early February the aircraft was so seriously damaged that F/O Blok attempted to bale out.
