Sea lily (order Crinoidea) on a sea fan coral. The sea lily, or crinoid, (black) has feathery arms which trap food particles from the water. The particles are then passed to the mouth along the arms. The sea lily is sessile, remaining in one place for its entire adult life, bonded to its substrate by a stalk. Photographed in Layang Layang, Malaysia.
