LAFAYETTE, La. (Feb. 11, 2014) Chief Musician John Schroeder, trumpet in the Navy Concert Band, performs during a concert at the First Baptist Church in Lafayette, LA. The Navy Concert Band, based in Washington and commanded by Capt. Brian O. Walden, is currently on a 24-day tour of seven states. One of the band's primary responsibilities, national tours increase awareness of the Navy in palces that don't see the Navy at work on a regular basis.
