London Southend Airport, Essex, UK. 16th Nov, 2020. Despite initially continuing flights during the COVID 19 lockdown travel ban, the single Ryanair departure today from London Southend Airport is their final flight for over two weeks as the Essex airport becomes very quiet. Flight FR2190 at 10:45 departed to Malaga, Spain and will return in the evening, after which the terminal will remain closed for long periods. With easyJet having closed their base at Southend there will now be very few flights beyond aircraft arriving for storage adding to those already parked up
