“Simitlia – The Ancient Land of Kukeri” is one of many Festivals of Kukeri Masks and Games happening during Winter in Bulgaria. The festival is a very popular activity in this small town in Southeast Bulgaria and some 7000 participants and more than 20 000 visitors take part in the one-day event. The dancers prepare special choreography for their performance, and a jury evaluates the performers.
