St Mary Woolnoth nave interior to east; built by Nicholas Hawksmoor 1716 - 1727


St Mary Woolnoth. One of the 'Fifty New Churches' or 'Queen Anne Churches', built 1716-1727 by Nicholas Hawksmoor in the English Baroque style. The square interior is lit by four large semicircular windows in the clerestory. Hawksmoor's galleries were removed in the 1870s.
