Sgt. Maj. William Oldenburg relinquished the sword of office to Sgt. Maj. Charles Metzger in a relief and appointment ceremony on Marine Corps Air Station New River July 8. Oldenburg retired after 30 years of service during a retirement ceremony after serving the Marines, sailors and civilians of MCAS New River as the senior enlisted advisor since April, 2014.
