Selby Smelting and Lead Company— GENTLEMEN: Having witnessed the operation of the Chamberlin machine, and carefullytested its products, it affords me genuine pleasure to-state that in my opinion the cartridges loaded byyour machine are nearer the sportsmans ideal than it is possible to produce by any other known observing the machine at work one cannot Tail to note the special points of merit possessed by yourammunition, and which may be formulated thus: Each shell MUST receive the exact amount of powderand shot, and the exact number of wads. The wads MUST be squarely seated upon the powder with theproper amount of pressure upon them, and retain their disc-like form. The ammunition MUST be-intro-duced into the shell in proper rotation.
