Saharan cow rock carving. Close-up of the head of a 'curled' cow in neolithic (Stone Age) rock art on a rock in the Sahara. During the Holocene African Humid Period (about 7000 years ago), the Saharan climate was wetter and supported savannah vegetation and animals, including cattle, sheep and goats.
