Demolition work has started in preparation for the arrival of future F-35A Lightning II squadrons at Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England, March 6, 2019. The demolition of building 1290 is a milestone of the 48th Fighter Wing's effort to prepare for the first aircraft arrival projected for late 2021.
