War of Roussillon, also called War of the Pyrenees or War of the Convention, (1793-1795). Conflict between the Spain of Charles IV and the First French Republic. Neither France nor Spain could continue the war, the treasury situation did not allow it. The French Convention appointed Barthelemy and Spain appointed Domingo Iriarte so that, meeting in Basel, they could sign a peace treaty. Domingo Iriarte and Barthelemy sign the Peace in Basel on 22 July 1795. Engraving by Algarra. Historia del Levantamiento, guerra y revolución de España by the Conde de Toreno. Madrid, 1851.
