Once over Indian River the road runs near the shore again, and so close to the water that the waves almost reach the a few minutes we are at Woodmont, a popular summeringplace. Savin Rock, our next stop, is one of New Havens shoreresorts, and offers the attractions of Coney Island on a smallscale; it is largely patronized by excursionists. Savin Rock is aname on the lips of every Connecticut Yankee in July and breezy, rollicking, surf-bathing resort, where we rub elbowswith clerk, mechanic, factory hand, mill girl, all out to enjoytheir swift-passing Sabbath; to see and to be seen.
