A distinct variety of ittcljcjus having the disk of th(trax black, with broad, p;ile margins; elytra dull red, the tips irregularly fuscous. Basiil impressions of thorax deeper and without punctures. Oblong. I'iceous, ;; legs and base of antennae reddish-brown. Thorax broader than long, the sides broadly rounded into base, so that hind angles are wanting. Elytral strife fine; intervals flat.
