In Mis-sissippi and Alabama pelicans do not breed,but a few are always found feeding aboutthe larger bays and harbors. It is thewriters opinion that in June, 1918, thebrown pelican population along that four-teen-hundred mile strip of coast from Mex-ico to Key West did not exceed 65,000 adultbirds.
