A winter squash of unique shape and quality, delicious for pies, and superb for baking and boiling. The thick bottle- shaped fruits are 10 to 12 inches long and measure 4 to 5 inches across at the base. The smooth golden-brown skin covering the hard shell encloses a most delicious, fine-textured, dry, sweet, yellow flesh. The picture shows just how little waste there is to this new variety. Pkt. 15c; oz. 50c; K lb. $; lb. $ 947 Tomato, Variant 70 days. There is, in our opinion, no other early tomato that can ompare with Valiant for use in the home garden. It already has •ractically displaced the JuUana type as it is only three days later nd the fruits are not only larger but also rounder and heavier. In lur trials it has proved not only early but also a consistent bearer [ properly fertilized and protected against diseases and pests. Because he foliage is somewhat small it is best grown on trellises or stakes, 'kt. 15c; y2 oz. 55c; oz. $; % lb. $ Please note that these images are extracted from scanned page images that may have been digitally enhanced for readability - coloration and appearance of these illustrations may not perfectly resemble the original Henry A.
