Pensioner Allen Russell won £250 of goodies from his local Iceland store to organise a street party for his neighbours - including familes, children and disabled pensioners. Overnight vandals had slashed the bunting, stolen several items and then on top of that - it poured with rain. Undaunted and in true British Bulldog spirit, Allen and his pals rallied round, hastily erected a couple of gazebos and some tarpaulin outside his bungalow so the party could go ahead - June 3rd 2012 Photo by Keith Mayhew
