He died April 27, 1894. A beautiful baptismal font has recently been placedin the Sayre Memorial Church, in memory of Charles H. and James L. Sayre,by their sister, Mrs. Anna Sayre Byxbe, who has also presented this church withtwo memorial windows, one in memory of her husband and child, and theother in memory of her sister, Caroline A.
