This photograph captures an evacuation scene during the Vietnam War. Taken on June 1, 1967, by Cysgt. Cuens, it shows members of the 3rd La Division Marine relocating refugees from the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). According to the Defense Department, by that date, a total of 10,600 individuals had been moved by the Marines.
