Cowroid Inscribed with the Throne Name of Thutmose II, New Kingdom, Dynasty 18, early, ca. 1492–1479 , From Egypt, Upper Egypt, Thebes, Sheikh Abd el-Qurna, Tomb of Hatnefer and Ramose (below TT 71), coffin III, inside kohl jar c, 1935–36, Faience, L. cm (9/16 in.); W. cm (5/16 in.), H. cm (3/16 in.), This cowrie-shaped amulet is inscribed on the base with the name, Aakheperenre. this is the throne name of Hatshepsut's husband, Thutmose II. It was found inside a khol jar which had been placed in the coffin of an unnamed woman that was in the tomb of Hatnefer
