A Webley "Longspur Pistol",2nd Model,1855 - 57,cal. .42 Perc.(60 bore),no. 620. Octagonal barrel,almost bright bore with three grooves,length 4 7/8". Matching numbers. 5-shot. Left on bolt plate marked "WEBLEY'S PATENT",on the back strap "By Her Majesty's Royal Letters Patent". Frame,hammer and right-handed loading lever with Acanthus engravings. Original blue-black high gloss finish,stronger on the barrel,on the frame thin and translucent with a plum-coloured shading,partially spotted,more so on the handle.
