Story of Moses: The baby Moses in a basket made of bulrushes, who was found and raised by the Pharaoh’s daughter. From a collection of colour prints of illustrations by John Lawson (1838-1908), published in a book of biblical stories, c1897. Lawson was born in Dunfermline, Fyfe, Scotland but spent much of his life in England. He became known for his sculptures, paintings and stained-glass designs.
