Opposite Codaletthe Font de Lliteramay still be valley comprisesthe territories of Co-dalet and Taurinya,with the abbey,founded in 878 or 879,and one of the mostflourishing in the dis-trict. The Abbot wasaccorded episcopalhonours, and hadjurisdiction over fifteen parishes, of which he was tem-poral lord also. The will of Abbot Protasius (f 879)shows that it then possessed a library of thirty volumes.
