This variety was first offered to the public some two years ago, and the satisfaction it has given all who have tried them, assures us in offering them to our customers this season. They are a stout, vigorous grower of good quality and of handsome appearance, the vines nearly covering the ground and sheltering the hills from the sun. They are enormous yielders, with but few small potatoes. It would be well for all those who grow potatoes to try this variety. MAMMOTH We think that any one who tries this variety will be well pleased with its good qualities; the vines are very large and strong growing, so that in many cases they outstrip the bugs and produce a large crop in spite of them. The tubers, which ripen in August, are large, oblong, usually a little flattened, very smooth and uniform, eyes even with the surface, skin very white, flesh as white as that of any variety, and cooks as white as snow to the very centre. CLARK'S No. 1. This Seedling originated in Lon- donderry, N. H., and has proved to be one of the best potatoes ever introduced, being earlier than the Early Rose; cooks mealy, and is of fine flavor; it is wonderfully pro- ductive, and is in great demand. WHITE STAR. This new variety has become one of our leading sorts. It is medium early and a remarkable keeper, the vines are strong, stocky, and vigorous, foliage is dense and dark green, the tubers are oblong, large, uniform, and handsome, while in yield it has proved remarkably pro- lific, and so far has resisted blight. BEAUTY OF HEBRON. This variety ranks in quality and productiveness next to Clark's No. 1; it is similar to that in shape but rather lighter in color. It is earlier than the Early Rose, and will yield a much larger crop. The past season has proved it
