A black crowned night heron lay still on a dead tree fishing for its early morning meal.

I had spent about two hours walking up and down the edges of the water in search of either one of the two herons I have spotted there before. Naturally, every time I had come before I could not get a close enough shot. This bird is beautiful sight and quite the fisher too.
