The middle part of the Cliffs of Møn is an impressive landmark. Located at the eastern coast of Denmark facing the Baltic Sea

Møns Klint, (English: the Cliffs of Møn) is an impressive landmark and tourist attraction along the eastern coast of the Danish island of Møn in the Baltic Sea. Møns Klint with its white vertical chalk cliffs is a spectacular natural experience - part of Pictures Of Denmark. The cliffs are situated two hours drive south of Copenhagen. They are part of the UNESCO world heritage system The bright chalk cliffs stretch some 6 km from the north to the south. Some of the cliffs fall a sheer 120 m to the sea below. The cliffs and adjacent park are now protected as a nature reserve. Møns Klint is popular with tourists from across Europe with hundreds of thousands of visitors a year. There are clearly marked paths for walkers, riders and cyclists. The path along the cliff tops provides impressive views and leads to steps down to the shore in several locations. Because of the special nature of the chalky soil, there are many rare plants in the area, particularly several varieties of orchid which are at their best in early summer.
