On March 18, Mr. Bowman of ourEducation Department became , the degree being conferredat Chicago University. Leaving here March 4, Mr. Bowmanwent to Chicago, took the necessaryexaminations on March 7, and spentthe subsequent time until the day onwhich the degree was granted in visit-ing various school systems functioningin and around Chicago. Prof. Bowman was born at Dayton,Va., and received his education atBridgewater College and at the Uni-versity of Chicago. He is completinghis seventh year as a member of thefaculty of S. T. C.
