The MK visit is part of a wide-ranging, 12-day trip including stopovers in Europe, Southwest Asia and the Far East. According to DOD officials, Hagel met with international defense leaders and thanked military personnel for their service during the tour. Hagel's last scheduled stop is in Normandy, France, where the secretary will join President Barack Obama and other world leaders for a ceremony commemorating the 70th anniversary of the World War II Allied invasion of France.
