, Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany - Land of the World Cultural Heritage Zeche Zollverein. The colliery Zollverein was an active from 1851 to 1986 hard coal mine in Essen. It is today an architectural and industrial monument. Together with the neighboring coking plant Zollverein, the mines of the colliery since 2001 belong to the UNESCO World Heritage. View of the bunker level of the former mixing plant. Here, the various types of coal were filled in twelve bunkers and extended in the funnel level in the optimal mixing ratio for the coking plant again. The twelve bunkers lasted for about 14 days as a coal reserve.
