King George V took a brief holiday in Nepal spending time on elephant back whilst tiger hunting, following the Delhi Durbar of 1911. George V entering Delhi, December 7, 1911, the first time an a British monarch had come to India to be received as Emperor by Indian subjects. The Delhi Durbar of 1911, meaning "Court of Delhi", was an Indian imperial style mass assembly organised by the British at Coronation Park, Delhi, India, to mark the succession of an Emperor or Empress of India.
