Cars and buses were restricted from crossing the Qalandia Checkpoint, the checkpoint that connects the West Bank and Israel, many men and women had to wait in long lines to attempt to cross the border. Many of those wishing to cross were attempting to get to Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem for evening prayers.
