Fruit, large, oblong, obovate pyriform, ob- tuse at stem; color, pale yellow, dull blush, and numerous small specks of faint russet; calyx, open, segments thick, reflexed ; basin, round, not deep, russeted; stem, short, curved, and obliquely inserted in a shallow cavity; core, small; seeds, long, pointed ; flesh, yellowish white, melting, juicy, vinous, sprightly, delicious to the core.
