5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (March 18, 2017) The aircraft carrier USS George Bush (CVN 77) participates in a passing exercise with the Royal Danish navy frigate HDMS Peter Willemoes (F362) and the French Marine Nationale anti-air frigate FS Forbin (D620). The George Bush Carrier Strike Group is deployed in the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
