Paulownia tomentosa, foxglove tree, princess tree, Empress tree

Paulownia tomentosa, aka foxglove tree, princess tree or empress tree bears attractive pale purple flowers in spring, followed by large green leaves in summer. The tree can grow from 10 - 25 metres tall, and with its very large deciduous leaves, may not be suitable for small gardens, although it does respond to pruning.
