Timothy Watson, who hails from Atkinson, , and is the commander of the 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, attached to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, presents a Army Commendation Medal to Pfc. Kyler Griffiths, a truck driver assigned to Forward Support Company E, 94th Brigade Support Bn., attached to 2nd “Warrior” Bn., 4th Inf. Regt., Dec. 13, during a ceremony at Forward Operating Base Falcon in southern Baghdad’s Rashid district. Griffiths, who calls Kennewick, Wash., his home, also received a Purple Heart and Combat Action Badge during the ceremony. Approximately 800 Soldiers received medals for service throughout their 15-month deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
