Traditional Palestinian food containing rice and bulgur served at the "Domari Society of Gypsies in Jerusalem", a community learning and advocacy center located in Shuafat a Palestinian Arab neighborhood of East Jerusalem created to preserve the culture of the Dom people, believed to be a branch of the Roma Gypsy ethnic group. The Dom population in Jerusalem forms a minority within the Palestinian society and consists of approximately 1,500 people, while larger populations live in Gaza and the West Bank.
