Better known by local residents as Djawatan Benculuk. Benculuk is the name of a village in Cluring District, Banyuwangi Regency. Djawatan is actually a protected forest area belongs to Perhutani KPH South Banyuwangi. Since the times Dutch colonialism, it’s became a Timber Hoarding Place (TPK) from forest products belonging to Perhutani in the southern area of Banyuwangi. The uniqueness as well as the peculiarity of Djawatan lies in the many large Trembesi trees that inhabit this area. There are about 50 large trembesi trees from the Netherlands that are still alive in this hectare land. What makes this trembesi tree seem ancient and even haunted is that all parts of the tree are covered by a kind of parasite or fern, which lives on the tree trunk. In the distance, it seems that this tree has scary feathers. Purwosari, Benculuk, Cluring, Kabupaten Banyuwangi, Jawa Timur 68482 Taken @Banyuwangi, East Java, Indonesia
