A rare pair of percussion pistols with rotating cap magazines, Joseph Contriner in Vienna, circa 1840. Octagonal Damascus barrels with smooth bore in 13 mm calibre, signed on top, "Joseph Contriner & Sohn priv. Gewehr. Fab." A Liège mark on the left on top of the breeches. The back-action percussion locks have fine vine engraving, and the lock plates also bear signatures. The cocks have rotating, replaceable magazines for twelve percussion caps, with individual holders numbered "0" to "11". Light walnut half stocks with iron furniture, also engraved. Iron ,
