SCRAKTON'S SECOND SHOW. Maintains High Standard. The Scranton flower show closed Fri- day night, November 10, after a most successful exhibition in every sense of the word. The overhead and side wall decorations had been made for the re- cent automobile show at an expense of about $1,500. The Scranton Florists' Club was able to secure these decora- tions of H. B. Andrews, director of the automobile show, at a quite reasonable price. The spaces between the trusses, twenty feet each, were spanned with white. The trusses were covered with the national colors, hanging three feet below. The side walls were covered with navy blue, studded with gold stars. The large mound of plants displayed by Anton Schultheis, nephew of A. Schultheis,' College Point, X. Y., won first prize. T. B. McClintoek won sec- ond prize. These were in the growers' class. Robert Stobo, gardener for M. B. Fuller, won the prize for gardeners. Mr. Stol)o also took many prizes for chrys- anthemums of different types and sizes, also for groups and specinieu plants. G. R. Clark took first prize on both the largest white and the largest yellow <'hrysanthemum on a 12-inch stem. First prize on a bridal bouquet was also won by him. Many Fine Exhibits. Beautiful roses came from the Florex Gardens, North Wales, Pa., taking some of the first prizes. E. J. LeDuc, A. Un
